COMPANIONSHIP FOR YOUR
LOVED ONE WHEN YOU
NEED A BREAK
Our Sitting Service provides respite for carers of older people and adults who have a disability. The sitters provide companionship and basic personal care and participate in a range of activities if required. The sitting service allows the usual or family carers to take a break whilst the cared-for person remains in their home with a trained person who will look after them. Sessions can be from as little as 2 hours to 24 hours. This service is available seven days a week.
The service is provided by our trained and verified staff who ensure that the appropriate level of care is provided in your absence. A sitter provides the companionship, support, personal care and assistance, which would normally be provided by their carer. This might include accompanying the person on a visit or to an appointment, short walks, conversation, reading, games and personal care as required during the break.
